Croatia Yoga Retreat Highlights: A Week of Movement, Connection, and Rest on the Adriatic Coast

My latest Croatia Retreat was everything I hoped it would be - and more. A week filled with yoga, exploration, good food, and the kind of laughter that lingers long after the trip ends.

I partnered with Drishti Journeys on Brac Island (the largest island in Dalmatia), this retreat brought together an incredible group of yogis from near and far, ready to slow down and reconnect through movement, mindfulness, and community.

Morning Yoga on the Patio

Each morning, we gathered out on the patio of our boutique hotel to practice together. We began all of our days with an all-levels, inclusive yoga practice that built in complexity and challenge as the week progressed. These practices set the stage for whatever our day might bring.

As with all Joanna Dunn Yoga retreats, the classes were open to all and adapted to all levels and ages with an emphasis on mindful movement and body awareness. My approach encourages each participant to listen to their body and move in a way that feels both supportive and empowering.

Exploring the Beauty of Croatia

Outside the yoga, afternoons offered time to explore Croatia’s stunning coastline and local culture. Swims in crystal-clear water, visits by boat or van to nearby historic villages, learning about the centuries old methods of pressing olive oil, leisurely lunches of Mediterranean dishes, and optional excursions to nearby towns made each day its own adventure. Several days were left open for participants to choose to rest locally, or take a bigger adventure off island.

Evenings ended with a gentle and restorative yoga practice, dinner in a local Konoba (restaurant), and downtime to rest for our next day.

Connection and Community

What makes a Joanna Dunn Yoga retreat truly special isn’t just the setting it’s the people. Shared meals, spontaneous laughter, and still moments on the mat created a deep sense of belonging.

A participant shared:

“This retreat reminded me how good it feels to pause, breathe, and connect with like-minded people in a beautiful place.”

Looking Ahead: Bali Yoga Retreat 2026

Hosted in collaboration with Drishti Journeys, this retreat will bring together everything participants loved about Croatia - daily yoga, cultural exploration, and time to truly unwind — in a lush, tropical setting.

Expect yoga surrounded by vibrant blooms, visits to sacred temples, and the calming rhythm of island life. Spaces will be limited, and early-bird registration will open soon.

If Bali has been calling, this is your chance to experience a retreat designed for connection, renewal, and presence.
